I want to read a lot of the classics, it's a general goal of mine. I like seeing what people deem to be so incredible and how they stand against the ages.

I read this middle grade version of Black Beauty and the writing style did me in. I had to DNF. I couldn't actually finish it. I'll have to pick up the original version of Black Beauty and try my way through that. I accidentally got the middle grade version by mistake, I think it hard the wrong cover on it. Regardless, I'll try again one day. But this one... the writing style was definitely made for young audiences and I couldn't stand it. It was too simple.

One out of five stars.
