There was a lot going on in this book, & it felt like it was a little too much. It switched perspectives later in the book, which is fine, but I would’ve liked to stay with Elli’s perspective a bit longer or to only stay with Sam. I also felt like the ending was a little too neat and tidy.

With that said, it kept me interested and I needed to see how everything turned out.

It was okay. Nothing life changing. Could be good if you're into twins or cults. Audiobook was decent and I was able to listen at 2.75x speed.

One of my favorites of 2023. Well-written, good twists and turns, enough characters to be interesting, not too many to be confusing.

This was really good. I’m a big fan of Janelle Brown’s writing style and twisty plots.

This one, albeit a tad predictable (I had figured out much of the ending by the time I got to Elli’s section) really held my attention.

Nostalgic, troubling, jaded.

Twin child stars grow up in the spotlight, but they couldn't be more different...or are they? While one turns to chemicals for solace the other turns to people and ideals.
We're following both twins in parts and getting their perspective as they grow up and go their separate ways.
Set in various cities and towns in California, USA.

Growls, Howls, and Tail Wags 🐺🐕:

👍 Interesting story, I wanted to know more about the situation both twins found themselves in and discover how they handled it
🤷‍♀️ The ending felt a bit rushed and certain parts of the plot drawn out to the point of feeling stalled (especially for the twin that was more into the Hollywood/fame scene)

Cred Rating: Realistic/Plausible with OTT bits
