I was skeptical when I heard that David Lagercrantz was continuing the Lisbeth Salander series. I was unsure if he could do the series justice and I approached his first sequel, The Girl in the Spider's Web, with skepticism. The Girl in the Spider's Web was good, not as captivating as Larsson's originals, but I still enjoyed it for what it was. However, I loved the Girl who Takes and Eye for an Eye. The story was intriguing, the new characters were interesting, and I couldn't wait to find out the ending.

Another phenomenal entry into the Lisbeth Salander series. Lagercrantz again proves that he understands the DNA of the beloved character(s) created by [a:Stieg Larsson|706255|Stieg Larsson|https://images.gr-assets.com/authors/1246466225p2/706255.jpg]. The story is tightly written and moves at a speed that will only further encourage you to not put it down until it's over.
Though it seems to rush near the end, the story is complex and compelling, a stylistic throughline in the series, with both authors. Once again, the story perfectly balances contributing to the ongoing Salander mystery while also crafting and resolving a mostly separate storyline. This book could be a fitting end to the series but based on its continual success, and a new film franchise in the works, it seems doubtful that it will be.

There is just something about the Elisabeth salander sees the world and her sense of justice. For someone so private she has interesting friends. Love this serious
