It's very hard to review this one without spoiling it so this will be short. This has massive stuff going on in it. Armin has his time to shine with his crazy smarts. I do love him. He and Erwin come up with a plan to lure out the female Titan (though still no explanation why Levi and Mikasa didn't finish her off in the woods).
And that's all I'll say about that other than I guessed the identity right (granted it wasn't tremendously hard). It's all about stopping her and in the process they learn something about the walls that no one (but the priests) suspected.
We get a better insight into Eren and his own fears in this which helps to round out the character (In fact, even Armin comes off as tougher and more decisive). For the Levi fans, he doesn't do much.
And it ends with a worst case scenario, Titans have breached yet another wall.
This was a very well done volume.

I have been spoiled about female titan, but it was a good revelation nonetheless.
I knew something was wrong with the walls! It was bothering me from the beginning. Now I wonder if the government was trying to control people using titans and also I wonder about what the world outside the walls look like.
But most importantly, what is in the goddamn basement?!
