Survivor meets a late night creature feature?!? YES PLEASE!

I can’t believe it took me this long to finally pick up a book by Brian Keene. Castaways was everything I could have ever asked for in an island horror story and more! The characters were perfectly written and the monsters couldn’t have been more terrifying. I will never stop recommending this book and I will definitely be rereading it in the future.

Take Survivor, add some monkey-like creatures with teeth and claws, and a typhoon. Stir together on an island. And that's pretty much what you get with this book. Keene is a brutal and raw writer. He doesn't soften anything, and this book is no different. An interesting take on what happens when the crap hits the fan in a big way. Good fast read.
