This was awesome. There were parts I didn't like, or the fact that sometimes there was too much description for my taste. But overall this was a really cute story, full of ups and downs and it was a really great find. :)

This series is captivating from the the very first page. The characters are in their 40's but the story goes back to college and shows how a misunderstanding shaped both their lives. The story is raw and emotional and covers some very touchy topics, sexual abuse, drug use, promiscuity, but it is extremely well written. This book takes you on a roller coaster ride and I recommend you have a box of tissues handy.

I must say that this series is one I will read repeatedly! I read the entire series in one weekend and it left me wanting even more! I LOVE second chance romance stories, but this is the best of the best. I have yet to find another second chance romance book that comes close to the emotional rollercoaster this book takes you on. The author did an amazing job telling the story of Schooner and Mia...how they met, where life took each of them and where they will go together. I absolutely fell in love with Mia and Schooner and as well as the secondary characters in the story. This book will make you run the gamet of emotions...and it is worth every second!

There are so many things that I want to say about this novel, but I want to make it concise. This was a beautifully written story about true love surpassing all. I absolutely loved Schooners and Mia relationships from the very beginning, they way they played and interacted, it was easy, it was real. I could see it and I love when I can get that from characters. 25 years is a long time, but when its meant, its meant. I felt bad for CJ and was pissed that they didn't figure out it was her that got in the way of them, but I truly believe that everything that happened was suppose to. I believe Mia would of never healed if these 25 years didn't happen, because of the overly protected spirit of Schooner, but she did and it was good. This book felt good and I wasn't surprised about the events. The 9/11 recounts OMG!!! Like till this day no one knows like the people that were there, the author did such a wonderful job in explaining the emotions and devastation of this day. It was beautifully done and Schooner he really was just a good guy, like just all around good guy. Okay so for the things that were frustrating...

I wish I had this book in paper back, because if the author put "devil smile" one more time I was going to throw the novel, its way over used and these things normally don't bother me like this, but I was way over it. As a married person, it took me a while to acclimated to the speedy relationship of Mia and Schooner, like things were like boom, bang, bam! And I was like What, Whoa, Wow, but I did get it, minor things, but things that stuck out.

So overall, I would give this novel a very strong 4.5/5 stars...it was awesome and totally worth reading, get it now!!!

1) Searching for Moore

Schooner Moore is married to CJ and have been together since college. He has turned into a very successful businessman with opening fitness clubs up all over California. He has two children, Holly and Zac, and he finds he is just not content with his life anymore.

When Schooner hears from his college roommate, Beau Gordon, that he was arguing with Mia Silver on facebook, Schooner can't believe his luck. Mia was the one who got away in college and Schooner knows part of his heart has always stayed with her.

Will Schooner have the courage to get in touch with Mia and how far will he go for the one he has never gotten over?

This was a good book and I liked the look at the past and how everything came to be in the present.

So I had mixed reviews about Schooner in college. In one sense he was a ladies man and could have any girl he wanted but got mixed up with CJ whom I did not like. When everyone went away for the semester but both Schooner and Mia stayed we got to see a different side of him which I totally liked. But then I hated how he changed with CJ coming back again and it really frustrated me.

My heart broke for Mia with what she went through but I was glad Schooner smartened up again until she was gone. I must admit I was super mad at Schooner for his next big decision!

In a way I wasn't surprised at how quickly things went down and I knew certain things would be messy for sure! I loved how embracing Holly was but on the other side I was shocked at how cruel Zac was.

I loved the new friendships that were formed between Schooner and Mia's friends! I loved hwo everyone came together for the Schooner's new gym in New York.

The very end left me so broken and I am crossing my fingers that Schooner can find his way to Mia!!

2) More to Lose

This is the second book in the series and Searching for Moore needs to be read first.

Mia Silver had her heart broken by Schooner Moore when she discovered from CJ MacAllister that they were together while he was staying with Mia. Not checking for the truth Mia left and went to New York to start again.

As Mia begins to find herself again, her heart is never fully available for anyone else but she tries to move on and finds herself in several different relationships. Yet she also finds herself in more and more dangerous situations.

Will Mia have the strength to follow her heart and get her life back in order before it's too late?

This was a super good book with a lot of twists and turns within Mia to make me wonder how everything was going to fall into place. You do know the outcome of what will happen from book one but this one still leads you down a very bumpy path.

I really liked Mia from the first book with her innocence and carefree attitude but this book seemed to take on a much darker tone with her and you see a different side of her which was sad.

Her relationship with her professor, Tom Sheehan was interesting as Mia was really pushing for it but she was "jailbait" and Tom had to wait until she was 18 for things to go further. I really wasn't surprised at how that one ended.

I loved how she was still able to get her company going at this time and her friendship with Seth Shapiro and Kami Townes who worked with her. Loved this so much!! I also loved when she formed a friendship with bouncer Charles Sloan and how close they became and how he was there for her when she needed him the most.

I hated to see the dark side of Mia and what happened when she was with her neighbors but at the same time she was able to see how low she got and get herself the help she desperately needed.

Michael Portman was absolutely awesome and I loved him but I knew what he would be involved in when they commented on his location. My heart truly broke for Mia through that and the phone call was so heartbreaking.

The very end of the book takes us back to the present and another situation with Schooner's son Zac and I was so mad at Schooner for not seeing what Zac and CJ were doing to him. I was happy that Mia tried calling him out on it and I was mad that he never listened.

I am somewhat worried for Mia at the end but I am glad that she has Seth, Kami and Charles by her side!!

3) Moore Than Forever

Mia Silver is ready to have her baby boy but she is done with her boyfriend Schooner Moore and his lack of putting her first over his soon to be ex-wife, CJ, and son, Zac. She thinks she is ready to make it on her own alone but is she really ready to give up Schooner?

Schooner Moore is heart broken to miss the birth of his son and knows he has so much to make up to Mia but there were reasons he was still in California.

Can Mia give Schooner a chance to explain why he was there and place a trust in him that he will never leave her again when they go through rough patches?

The beginning of this book definitely started off a little tense but I was so happy when Mia actually listened to what Schooner had to say about what was going on in California.

I was happy in a way that the two had to return to California but not for the reasons that they did, although it finally gave Mia some sense of power when it came to CJ. I loved Schooner's reaction to a certain person moving in with CJ!!

The trip to Africa was awesome and I was amazed what came from it. I loved that Mia finally told Schooner everything about her past and how everything just fell into place.

The very end of the book was awesome and I am looking forward to Holly's book next!
