Absolutely lives up to it’s reputation as one of the best Star Wars novels ever written. Utterly fantastic.
adventurous medium-paced

I don't know why but I couldn't really connect to the characters. I found myself spacing out quite a bit and not caring much about the story points because of point one.

This was my very first Star Wars novel and I'm so glad my brother recommended it to me!

This was a fantastic war novel with rebellion and romance. It showed the rise and fall of the Empire and it even had some major tie-in events which I thought was really great. This story was about characters created specifically for this book so I wasn't sure I was going to care about them but I was totally invested by the end.

Cienna and Thane grew up together and went to the Imperial Academy training for careers in the Empire. One rebels and one follows the Empire rules to a tee. I loved both characters, their stories on both sides of things, and their forbidden romance.

It was a well written, well put together story, and if you love Star Wars I absolute recommend. I'm not huge into reading Star Wars books but this was just fantastic so I might have to check out more!

They won't let me give this any more stars so I guess 5 will have to do. This book was just perfect.

thank god it’s over.

I've been reading Star Wars novels since Timothy Zahn's [b:Heir to the Empire|216443|Heir to the Empire (Star Wars The Thrawn Trilogy #1)|Timothy Zahn|https://images.gr-assets.com/books/1398253847s/216443.jpg|1133995] was published in 1991, and this is unlike any other Star Wars book I've read. The main characters are completely original to the story, and while familiar characters are mentioned or make a couple brief appearances, they remain in the background. Interestingly, that's actually where the strength of this novel lies - seeing the major events of the original trilogy through the eyes of common soldiers in the war, and seeing how they grapple with the rise and fall of the Empire is a unique story element. It's interesting to read how "good" people wound up fighting for the Empire, and how they justified their continued service to an oppressive regime. Lost Stars explores themes of friendship, romance, duty & honor, and is a great entry point into the world of Star Wars novels.

This is one of my favorite Star Wars reads so far. I thought it was a great story and kept me engaged the whole time. I can see how some people do like this book, it is definitely a YA novel and not everyone loves that kind of writing. However, I think it will still be enjoyable to most audiences.

Soooo swoony. And action-packed! It's like The Princess Bride of Star Wars novelizations.
