This was my first foray into Star Wars books and I wasn't sure what to expect, but this book did not surprise me in the least. That is good and bad; it does fit in perfectly within the Star Wars universe and give us a different perspective on some major events, however, nothing happened that I didn't see coming. That said, I enjoy Star Wars, so I still enjoyed this book, very much!

The best Star Wars novel I've read. Claudia Gray is elite.
A charming love story that is required reading for hardcore fans that will appreciate all the references to the films. It’s great for filling in blanks and interesting to hear the perspectives of other players aside from our main heroes. It was a bit slow for me and it took me a while to finish it but I loved the character development and felt the love between them!

"Look through my eyes"
Once again Claudia Gray has me hooked on a Star Wars novel, turning pages until the early hours of the morning.
She captures so many different perspectives and points of view that aren't pointed out or apparent in other media, (the movies, comics, other books, etc).
How do the civilians of various planets feel?
How does the Empire brainwash children?
How would anyone follow the Empire after destroying an entire planet?
She takes many sides to the same war and shows you them in detail. I absolutely loved this book and would love to read a sequel, although I know which the Star Wars timeline that may be difficult. Thank you for another amazing Star Wars experience.
