This was such a cool concept and maybe I’m basic but I did not expect these plot twists šŸ˜‚

So many characters!! It was hard for me to keep them straight. Interesting concept to take a DNA test and be matched to your perfect partner, but this was a pretty chaotic book. 100+ chapters of chaos and in almost every chapter I felt like something major happen, which became repetitive to listen (I did audiobook) to over and over again. I believe it’s been turned into tv show and I think it might be better in that format, to break it up into episodes.

Interesting to read all the couple's stories come together. Science discovering your genetic DNA match is very black mirror. It's a cool premise that the author fleshed out well. It stays a middle of the road book for me though because the dialouge lacked depth and flow.

A great thriller with some shocking twists. Loved the pace at the end and the start could have gone faster but otherwise loved the plot and characters of this sick, twisted story. Not for the faint hearted, some intense, vivid themes.

This is only my second John Marrs book, but his stories are officially an auto-read for me. I will not hesitate to read the next one in his backlist. I enjoy the underlying tone of this work and how uncomfortable it makes me feel about advancing technology. The desire to know and do more for less, mixed with the question of if we should, is more and more omnipresent. I enjoyed the variety of characters, and Marrs managed to weave in a multitude of twisty stories, leaving the me unsure of what I wanted the outcome to be and certainly unable to predict it! I really loved the ending, but thought some stories were cut short or the nice bow at the end was abrupt.
