This manga was really good. It continues seemslessly from the first one volume and sets up for the next arc well. The author could have ended the series here since the seven dragonballs were collected, but the author decided to deviate from "The Journey to the West" and is creating this own story. I know little of the plot from here on out and can't wait to see where it goes.

This volume is all over the place. Fun, for sure, but it just kind of covers a random assortment of stuff before ending.

Finally seeing Pilaf is fun, though.

The second issue has a ton more action then the first. It covers chapters 12-24. You get the first appearance of the Kamehameha, Shenron shows up, and Goku turns into a giant monkey for the first time. I would say the second issue is better then the first. I did not mention it last time but I love love love the artwork of Dragon Ball, Akira Toriyama’s art is so recognizable at this point and it’s so Iconic. I’m really excited to continue my Dragon Ball journey and make my way to DBZ and Super.
