 Overall, I enjoyed this. Were there some ick moments that pulled me out of the story? Yes. I wish there had been more pining and tension - more "will they/won't they". It's a decent cowboy romance that could have benefited from more showing and less telling. +5 points for female ADHD representation, though. Additional bonus points for no third act break up.

This was a cute, quick read for me! I did enjoy it for the most part, however I will say that some parts leaned more toward that "slice of life" feeling rather than plot heavy (which I know some people enjoy, I just personally prefer plot heavy things). 

Another thing I will say is that the author's writing style does feel a bit more fanfic-y to me rather than romance novel writing, which didn't bother me that much because I'm an avid fanfic reader and writer, but I would maybe skip on this one if you have a specific style of writing you like. Overall though, very cute and light read.

Sugar, you deserve to go out on your own terms. Just because you got dusted doesn’t mean you’re done.

Why did I put this book off for so long??? This was exactly what I needed. The perfect small town, cosy cowboy romance.

Brothers best friend, I mean what more can you want? Also a special mention for how well the side characters were developed and I cant went for their books!

I really liked that there was no 3rd act break up. This was such a sweet story.
