This book and its writing get significantly better as the book goes on. The start was a little rough.

Save a horse, ride a cowboy! But seriously- a small town, western romance is always a hit in my book. Pun intended😂 A strong FMC is a favorite of mine, as is anything that has to do with a boy with a hard outer shell who really is just a big softy.

Not usually a fan of brother’s best friend trope, but I think this one works! It could be that it’s a cowboy, but I didn’t feel like the story line was awkward at all with it.

A perfect summer read, or listen, that’s short and sweet!

Very cute! Very easy to read! I enjoyed the characters and the setting, wish there was slightly more cowboy content (forever a horse girl at heart). I personally am not a fan of dual POV romances (I simply don’t care about straight male thoughts, I guess lol) so I kind of wish it was just Emmy, but she made up the bulk of the book anyway so it worked. I will probably continue with this series, seems like it will continue to be light and fun!
