I feel the same as many reviewers here…amazing method for potty training, great easy to follow steps for each of the phases of training, my 26-month-old did awesome with it and has very few accidents now in so so happy with the results!! The book makes it very easy to look up any common issues and find answers and great things to try. I did find myself a little annoyed by the author’s writing style and attitude about her own opinions and methods, but was able to look past it and found myself loving having a potty trained toddler enough to not mind!

I’ve read it before potty training, so we’ll see how beneficial it was but it was laid out well, informative, and funny. Can’t wait to get started with my toddler!
I'll just say that our 2.5 year old potty trained in 6 days.

I did not like the tone of the book. I also don’t like the naked method.
This author is sassy and direct. If you don’t like that then you might not like this book. There were many times I actually laughed out loud. There were some things that I didn’t necessarily agree with, but C’EST LA VIE. I’m ok that not all advice is for me. I do wish she hadn’t given so much advice on non potty training topics. And unfortunately the writing comes off as rather sexist at some points. But for the most part I liked this book and am feeling really hopeful about potty training soon. I may come back and update this review once we’ve actually started.
This method is based on consistency, and doesn’t utilize rewards at all. Potty training between 20-30 months is also a huge point of the book.
It’s pretty easy to read and I liked the way the info was organized into these specific chapters. The entire chapter dedicated to your mental preparation was definitely what my personality needed. You could likely read the first half of the book and then just come back if you had specific questions after starting.
There was a random part on page 95 (in “Nighttime Training”) that really bothered me. “Think about it; most adults wake up to pee at least once a night and we’re skilled at using the potty.” Noooooo that is not true for most healthy young/middle aged adults. I hate to see that idea shared, especially since so many of these readers are moms who probably think about their own bladder and pelvic floor health.
And a few quotes that made me like the author’s personality and trust her book more:
“It saddens me when I hear people say “Oh, she’s just doing that for attention.” Well, then pay attention.”
“Self-esteem comes from mastering a task, from gaining dignity and self-respect. Potty training is a way you can give this to your child.”
“In fact, expecting anything logical at all from your toddler would be your first mistake.”
