I read #1 Rival and I remember I enjoy it very much. Now on #1 Crush, I am reeling. The book is rom com. It has that funny, sassy conversation. Especially from Tia. About half of the book I do crack a smile.
Then the last 50% is... flat. The comedy not helping at all. In fact the comedy makes it obvious that Tia is immature and stupid. The romance about lying identity is not something new. I guess this book has so much promises, but somehow the author does not up her writing or the comedy to be something more meaningful and more adult.
The chemistry is also off toward the end.
Overall 50% of this book is promising, but then the ending is not.

Absolutely hilarious! There are so many moments when Tia’s special brand of crazy made me laugh loudly and I know I grinned like a loon through most of it! Right up until the climax at 80%. The emotion conveyed by Tina Gephart is so real my heart hurt for Tia. I was so mad at Eric - even if the whole thing could have been avoided if Tia had been honest earlier.
A terrific read, for sure!

Wonderful!
This book was hilarious. I found myself laughing so often people thought I was a little crazy. Sure this was a bit unrealistic and the ending didn't really surprise me but the journey to get there was so fun I couldn't put the book down. This has become one of my must-read authors!

I love this audiobook, I am a sucker for all famous guy with regular girl romances, and this one delivered it on the spot. I am going to be reading the next in the series as I did enjoy it.

So it’s more like... 3.75 (I wish we can do quarter stars here). Cute and quirky. Tia’s a bit on the crazy side, but she’s adorable. Eric, ofc, is perfect, with the exception of that one stupid plot twist (albeit a short one).
Love Ryan, his story’s coming up next. Yay!
Mostly fluffy, and pretty hot.

This book was pure entertainment! I have really enjoyed it!! I laughed out loud from the beginning to the last word. I think some parts were really extreme, and I found it a little bit difficult to empathize, feeling detached from situations clearly possible only in a book, but this did not make the story less hilarious! I loved it!

Parts of this book were really fun, but I cannot hang with the FMC's unnecessary lying. MMC's stunt at the end was cruel and the conflict was resolved way too easily. Honestly, they deserve each other.
