Surprisingly, I actually really loved this book! I feel like it had all the things I loved personally: musicals, theater, Broadway, second-chance romance, a then-now narrative, and a boy band. It's dramatic and very predictable, but very charmingly so. The writing seemed a step more simplified than Elissa Sussman's previous book, but the paperback font is so much better (the font from "Funny You Should Ask" made me feel dyslexic). The main love interest is very cute, and their story is a wonderful process of love, forgiveness, failure and new beginnings. One thing I didn't really like was the main character Kathleen, who just wasn't too likable a person. Otherwise, I feel like this book healed the theater-loving child in me- 4.5 stars!
