I enjoyed this book — not as much as her other books, but enjoyed nonetheless. It was different than her other books, in a way I can’t quite describe. I wasn’t the biggest fan of the hacker stuff, but that’s just personal preference and not a reflection on the author or the quality of the book! Overall another solid book from Ruth Ware.

Different than previous Ruth Ware books I've read. Very focused on just one character which leads to a lot of repetitive writing and scenarios. And not a very satisfying ending/mystery. The penetration testing job and related ideas were interesting though which moves the book from 2 to 3 stars.

This involved pen testing, which I didn’t know anything about. Really interesting!!

Probably the weakest book from her I've read so far. The premise is interesting, but it quickly lost me due to turning into more of an action movie stereotype. Jack's actions could be seen as understandable throughout, but there were points I wanted to just leap into the story and just tell her to do the opposite of whatever was happening. And though I did guess the twist correctly, I liked that it wasn't as clear cut. Still, there were points where some scenes and lines were extremely repetitive, and they ran together in the middle, so it's about a 3/5.
