Ruth Ware tends to be hit or miss for me, and this one was a definite hit! I was very confused at first, but once I understood what was happening, the story started running and didn't stop until the very end. It actually reminded me quite a bit of Alias the TV show with Jennifer Garner. Really fun quick read!

I figured out the who VERY early on, and the why was only a teeny bit further along. Ware needs to throw more red herrings out there :) Otherwise enjoyable and a quick read.

this book was okay - a pretty crazy story. i think i would’ve liked/ enjoyed it more if there weren’t so many “tech” references. i almost stopped after the first chapter detailing an entire hacking.
Implausible but entertaining. Glad this was available at the library when I found myself without a book to read.
Not terrible, I have enjoyed Ware’s other books much more. It was a little anticlimactic and the surprise pregnancy is not my favorite thing. The audiobook had an excellent voice actor, which redeemed it to average.

disappointingly underwhelming. for some reason, this felt like it dragged on way longer than it needed to so I was listening to it on audiobook and literally fell asleep.
basically about some woman who works as some spy along with her hacker husband who is dead when she comes home after a job and then her trying to figure out what happened with a pretty predictable suspect and ending, as much as I loved her other book... but me waiting 2 months for this hold to be available was not worth it.
hopefully, her next book will be better.
