MID. THIS BOOK IS MID.

Predicted the culprit way too soon. I also feel the writing is starting to become boring. Her earlier books were so much more exciting!

I can never decide how I feel about Ruth Ware. I find her books to be page turners but feel they are all pretty similar and do I actually enjoy them? Unsure. I feel like in a lot of her books, we get the first twist and it’s the obvious one. Then the ending has an unexpected turn and that’s what makes the story interesting. This one didn’t hit that mark.

One of the fastest reads I’ve had in a long time due to wanting to find out what the ending was. Didn’t understand all of the tech stuff but I still found the plot compelling. Really enjoyable read!

I am a fan of Ruth Ware, and I think she is a good writer. This was fine enough, just more of a thriller than a mystery. A woman goes on the run, after she is framed for her husband's murder. He was a hacker, and the murder is linked to his activities. Because the mystery is easy enough to figure out, it is more of a "let's see how she clevers herself out of this situation" type tale. A quick read.

I don’t usually read the genre, but it was suggested by someone who does. This thriller was amazing.  And it makes me want to read more of the genre.  The story was kind of dragging  but when it  gets into the groove, it really does,  like you are jaw dropped. The details of the twist just keeps adding layers and I thought it was a great addition. There is a woman who wants answers. She has no way of finding these answers, but this is very particular skill set that she has she uses to find these answers with multiple obstacles. And the obstacles were so natural. Nothing felt forced.
Also the options that the character lays in front of her to make the right decision is an amazing part of this book because this is literally her thought process for her job. It’s something that I hope to incorporate into my own life.
Round of applause!

Husband/wife team test how secure places are by breaking into them. Jack is the break-in artist and her husband, Gabe, is the techie. On a job Jack is caught outside of the place she just broke into and is taken to the cop shop. Former abusive beau works there. After a couple of hours she is released and heads home to find Gabe murdered. Then the race is on. Jack has become a suspect because she can’t explain the lapse of time between arriving home and her call.

It’s a cat and mouse game. It was okay, but I knew she needed a lawyer in the beginning of the story. And that it was Gabe’s bestie that caused it all. Knew it early on.

Although it was a good chase.
