Jo Firestone is sooo real. Incredible author 10/10 I was explaining the plot to Max and he seemed actually super disappointed when I had to tell him despite the book being called Murder on Sex Island there was actually no smut and it was a crime thriller it was kind of sad

I can’t remember how I stumbled upon this audiobook, but I’m so glad I did! It was hilarious. I looked forward to new episodes every week. Having watched the shows this book spoofs, I couldn’t help laughing at the characters and how seriously they took the show, but also at myself for watching them. Luella/Marie is so funny as a narrator, both because she’s oblivious and because she takes herself very seriously. At one point she uses chiclets as fake teeth and it’s just *chefs kiss*.

I recommend this book to people who like funny whodunnits, and I also recommend the audio version - the author's voices are incredible.

Such a fun book! Funny and yet enough of a plot to keep to interested.

I’m a fan of Jo Firestone I’m also a fan of love Island so this book was pretty fun to read in Mexico! Easy peasy and lots of funny commentary on our current culture! And I was interested in the mystery part too and I didn’t figure it out, so it had humour and intrigue!

Absolutely over the top fun.

This was the first audiobook I've listened to, and it was perfect! An absolute delight! I can't wait for the next one - Luella van Horn is fantastic and I want a movie adaptation immediately!
