idc im saying it: finishing this was more painful than getting all three of my wisdom teeth removed… and i am currently in wisdom tooth recovery. it gave me hunger games x ACOTAR but with pretty rough writing and too many unimportant details! i will not be finishing this series. i need to protect my peace.
i do not care what anyone says, i love this book so dearly. the writing is a bit tacky yes, but this is a book intended for young adults, therefore i am so here for the tackiness. the constant twists kept me on my toes and as the cover says, "i could not turn the pages fast enough". the characters were so well developed and unveiled themselves in ways i could never imagine. the contrast between oro and grim tore my heart in two, not knowing which one to choose (team grim btw). betrayal, trust, and secrets, but nothing was more painful than the internal conflict isla fought. a beautifully developed character whom i hold closest to my heart and deserves the absolute world. i cannot wait to read the sequel : ]
