Average plot with some average characters—though, I did enjoy reading this series in the end. A middle of the road type of RH.

The Count of Monte Cristo is considered "the greatest revenge story ever told" but A Knight's Revenge has stepped up to the plate to compete with that honor.

Jolie is out for revenge upon the people responsible for her parent's death, and she won't let anything get in her way. This includes the bond between the other kids from the Families. Though they grew up together, she doesn't know if they had a part in her parent's murder, or if they are complicit in continuing the empire. So she worms her way into the prestigious academy to find out more...and to enact taking them down.

Once there, she is smacked in the face with nostalgia for her long lost friends, and trying to reconcile the men they've grown into with the kids she left behind. Will they help her succeed in taking down their legacies? Or will they leave her in the dust like their parents did?

I adore this book. Jolie is such a strong leading lady, without being overly sassy/impervious to harm. She's vulnerable when it's appropriate, but holds true to her convictions. The side characters are just as dynamic as all the leads, and no one is relegated to "sassy best friend", though there is one. It's just not her entire personality, which is nice. She also has a supportive family, which is lovely to see in someone with a Tragic Background. The story has twists and turns, and leaves you unable to put it down for fear you might miss something. The spice is on point, and appropriate. Even when it's not an appropriate time, there's a joke by the characters about that, which is fun! I honestly will read anything Elizabeth Dear writes, as she has a gift. Highly recommend!

Wildly unrealistic, but a fun time.

I have loved these characters and this story from the very beginning of the first book of this series, Storm the Castle. I read all three books in two and a half days and once the audiobooks were out, I bought and listened to them. Seriously, I will recommend these books to anyone who will listen. So, when I found out that Elizabeth Dear was putting out an omnibus I knew that I had to get it, if for nothing else than the bonus chapters.

These characters live rent free in my head so reading these books again, was like welcoming family home. Jolie is just as strong and badass as I remember, Zach is still my favorite (even if it’s only by a hair), I still love the empowering female friendship between Jolie and Mari, and I still live for the moments that Max messes with the guys. I feel like it doesn’t matter how many times I read or listen to these books I will always cheer Jolie on, cuss the guys when they’re being asshats, and need to cool myself off during those spicy scenes.

I loved, loved, loved the bonus chapters we got in this omnibus! We get a Noah chapter from the first book, a Zach chapter from the second book, and of course a Bennett chapter from the third book. I was here for each and every one, completely devoured them, and wanted more.

Seriously, if you haven’t checked this series out, now is the time! What are you waiting for?

A Knight’s Revenge was one of my favorite series that I’ve read this year, and I love that it’s now available in an omnibus with some amazing bonus content…three new chapters from each of the guy’s POV.

Saint Gabriel City was once run by the Four Families, The Spencers, the Hargraves, the Ferreros, and the Knights, the most elite, and wealthiest families in the city. Until one night, the three families turned on the Knights, irradiating the entire family…or so they thought. Jolie Knight, the Knight heir everyone thought perished on that fateful night, had actually been living in the South Side the entire time with her adoptive family, plotting her revenge on the people who took everything from her. Bennett Spencer, Noah Hargraves, and Zach Ferrero never forgot what their parents did that night, or the girl they thought they had lost.

When Jolie gets a scholarship to Holywell Academy, she’s reunited with the boys she grew up with, even if though they don’t know it’s her right away. They make her life a living hell, wanting her out of their school, but when they find out that the girl they’ve been antagonizing is the girl they all once loved, everything changes.

I absolutely love Jolie’s character. She’s such a badass who knows what she wants and will do whatever it takes to get it. Even though feelings change, her goal remains the same, to get revenge. I also adore her friendship with Mari. Noah, Zach, and Bennett were also a perfect mix, even if they were a little hard to like at times. Noah is my favorite…the glasses and professor vibes are just yummy! I love the dynamic between the four main characters once everything is out in the open…and the spice is even better!

If you read and are a fan of this series, I highly suggest reading Frankie and Max, a novella about our favorite Fererro enforcer and Jolie’s lovable brother! ♾️/10 love and recommend this series!

I really liked this book. FMC witnesses the murder of her parents by the elite of the city. She herself is presumed dead. She grows up in secret plotting revenge on those who killed her parents which includes her 3 childhood best friends. She earns a scholarship to the elite university where her plans to overthrow the heirs and corruption of the city begin. Plot moved along at a good pace, the FMC is appropriately smart and badass, and the men have some character development. There isn’t a “misunderstanding/miscommunication” trope which I appreciated. Spicy scenes are 👌🏻.
