What a wonderful story this one was! Ella was a character that was very relatable with her traits and multi cultural background. It made her seem so much more real than many of the female characters you might read about today. But I think my favorite part was the exciting chemistry between her and her boss. That kind of "taboo" setting for attraction and desire, definitely makes it a fun read.
PLUS you get the fun of a masquerade ball and all that it entails with allowing yourself to feel like someone else for a night and really let go. Which is exactly what Ella needed and brought her closer to Marius in ways she never expected.
If you enjoy a fairy-tale retelling, then enjoy this one that really encourages young women to embrace who they are, what they want to be and enjoy life. It's a motivational story as well as a really fun romance read!
