Cute story, some pieces felt a bit forced. I love a single dad/nanny trope and I LOVED the fact that it was an MM twist on that. Ash and Tuck built a super cute relationship and Finn’s family being supportive but not pushy was well written and definitely added to the overall story

Started off very well. I liked both MCs right away and enjoyed the building tension. Unfortunately the Violet situation turned me off. I felt off about it right from the start and it just got worse.
And the smut was...eh. Some of those adjectives sure were a choice. Ugh. Too much.
A real shame because I usually like a single dad romance but this one took a few bad turns. Might try again with the other Moore men in the future.

Finn is another victim of a book with an interesting premise that fails on the execution.
I can only suspend disbelief so much. The incident when Ash and Finn first met (Ash spilled tea all over himself and strips in Finn's driveway ) is classic meet cute, but the same thing happens over and over again. Finn accidentally pulling Ash's towel off him, Finn just climbing into Ash's bed like it's not a totally weird thing to do, everything about the sex toys, and I feel like I'm forgetting something else. Forcing the main characters together isn't the same as relationship development.
I also didn't like how women were treated. Making Finn's ex-girlfriend the villain was a choice (gross), but letting Finn's son call Ash "mommy" implies that providing childcare and cooking and cleaning are inherently feminine tasks. And excusing it because he's only seen hetero parents because they live in small-town Texas is such a cop out.
The spice was decent, but I had to skim over the 'daddy' stuff.
I would never have read this book if an author that I follow hadn't recommended it, and while it wasn't a terrible way to spend a Saturday afternoon, I don't plan on reading anything else by Ashley James.
