Ash gets the dreaded news: he's been shown the door at his Montessori gig! Meanwhile, his sister's boyfriend is on a quest for a nanny for his little rascal, Tucker. Their first meet? A bit of a train wreck, thanks to Ash's rough day. But surprise, surprise—Finn decides to hire him, and off Ash goes back to his Texas roots!
Finn is the ultimate grumpy cowboy with a secret stash of gold in his heart. His devotion to Tucker shines brighter than a Texas sunset, proving he's a top-notch dad! What really struck me about Finn was his relentless dedication and his knack for going the extra mile for his loved ones.
Then we have Ash, a delightful mix of charm and depth. His witty comebacks and playful jabs with Finn had me giggling, but it was his emotional openness that really hit home. The bond he forms with Tucker? Absolutely heartwarming!
What I adore bi-awakening stories as the self-discovery is the spotlight their personal growth. Watching characters embrace their true selves is like a big, warm hug for the soul.
A massive shoutout to Gregory Salinas and Alex Kydd for weaving this magical story into a captivating audio experience!

OMG!!!!! This book was so good. I’m always slightly worried I start a new series because I know none of the characters yet but omg 4 chapters in I already loved Ash so much and Finn definitely made me love him to. This book was so sweet and while also having some good spice. I loved the connection between Ash and Tucker. This book was absolutely amazing just like every Ashley James book I have read!!

Ash finds out that he is being laid off from his job at a Montessori school and his twin sister's boyfriend is looking for a nanny for his son Tucker. Ash interviews with Finn, the grumpy rancher, and they get off on the wrong foot because Ash is having a terrible day and everything is going wrong. To Ash’s surprise, Finn hires him anyway and moves back to his home town in Texas.

This book was easily a five star read for me and I am not ashamed to say, any cowboy written by Ashley James is a 10 for me. This book is going to leave me in a reading slump in the best way. It took me weeks to get over my reading slump Conrad and Whitt put me in and I can confidently say Finn and Ash are going to do the same.

Once again, I am absolutely loving the fact that this book did not have a third act break up. I kept waiting for it to happen after their relationship was outed so publicly and I was happily surprised when it didn’t happen. These boys both deserve all the love and happiness and as the reader you could really feel the chemistry Finn and Ash have. Finn is literally head over heels for Ash and it was so heartwarming for Ash to be treated like he deserves.

Can we take a minute to talk about this porch scene?!? This scene will forever live rent free in my head and I am not mad about it one bit!! Finn always knows what Ash needs to hear and it makes me completely melt. Finn is such a rough and grumpy rancher so knowing that he will literally do anything for Tucker and Ash automatically turns me into a puddle of goo.

I cannot wait to hear about the rest of the Moore men at the ranch. Some books are just so special and as a reader, it makes you wish you were there and a part of it. Y'all I wish I could live or work on this ranch just so I can be a part of this world. The ranch, the men, the community… it was EVERYTHING!

With that being said, I really don’t have any criticism for this book. The dirty talk was on point. The daddy kink was on point. The spice was soooooo hot! I would have finished this entire book in one sitting if I didn’t force myself to go to sleep last night. I loved literally everything about it!

I want to thank Ashley James and her team for letting me read and review this book early. I loved the opportunity and absolutely devoured the book. I cannot wait to see what is next in store for Ashley James. Lord knows I need more of her books in my life!

Ashley James' Finn, the first book in The Moore Men series, delivers a compelling mix of slow-burn romance, self-discovery, and undeniable chemistry, set against the rugged backdrop of a family cattle ranch.

The story follows Finn, a hardworking single father whose life revolves around his young son and the demands of ranch life. When his nanny suddenly quits, he’s left scrambling for a replacement—enter Ash Tudor, his girlfriend’s twin brother. Cheerful, flamboyant, and the complete opposite of Finn in every way, Ash challenges every assumption Finn has about himself.

What starts as an employer-employee relationship soon turns into something far more complicated. Finn, who has never considered being with a man, finds himself drawn to Ash in ways that shake the very foundation of his identity. The tension builds slowly, with moments of humour, frustration, and undeniable attraction simmering beneath the surface.

Ashley James does a fantastic job portraying Finn’s internal conflict, balancing his resistance with the magnetic pull he feels towards Ash. The author navigates themes of self-exploration and unexpected love with sensitivity and realism, making Finn’s journey both emotional and deeply satisfying. Ash, with his vibrant personality and unwavering confidence, is the perfect foil to Finn’s brooding, gruff demeanor, and their dynamic is electric.

If you love slow-burn, forced proximity, and the delicious agony of an undeniable connection that shouldn’t work but absolutely does, Finn is a must-read. James crafts a heartfelt, sexy, and emotionally charged romance that explores love in unexpected places.

🔥 Spice Level: Medium-High (Plenty of tension and build-up before things heat up!)
📖 Recommended For: Fans of MM romance, forced proximity, and stories of self-discovery wrapped in a swoon-worthy cowboy setting.

Wow, great start to a new series. Finn, stoic and gruffy cowboy and Ash, oh sweet Ash... How can you not love these two! Their story is so sweet. From watching them fight it, to the strong support they give each other is heart warming. And I love that there's no third act break up. They stay strong throughout the whole thing! Just finished and I already want to listen again! Gregory Salinas and Alex Kydd do an amazing job narrating. Can't wait for the next book! Dunno who I'm gonna love more, the Moore guys or the Copper Lake guys.

ARC Review for Finn, Book One of The Moore Men new series. This is Finn and Ashers book. Let me tell you I fell in love with these boys. They are perfect. Finn is a Rancher and has a son. Asher is Finns girlfriend's brother. Asher gets a job with Finn and watching these two fall for each other just melted my heart. Absolute 5 Star book for me. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

You did it again Ashley James! Can not wait for the next book!

Ashley Suzanne James, what the hell did you put in this book?! Jesus Christ I was sweating the whole time. I mostly read at work and usually have no problem keeping a straight face - uh, not this time! Finn and Ash were so god damn hot I could not keep it together.

One of the reasons I love bi-awakening stories so much is that they’re all about self-discovery - watching someone finally acknowledge, accept, and embrace their true self just makes me 🥰. Finn was able to do just that after Ash came crashing into his life, and Ash was able to overcome his hangups with always feeling overlooked. The tension was there from the first time Finn saw him half-naked in his driveway, and when these two finally give in it is one hot Pants Off Dance Off. Their romance is a fast burn that is satisfyingly sweet, too.

Yes, Ashley writes some of the hottest MM spice I’ve ever read, but she also weaves in the feel good emotions needed for you to actually care about the characters. I fell in love with Finn and Ash and I am VERY excited to continue this series of Moore men!

p.s. without revealing too much, I’ll just say we’ve got a porch scene that blows Cade and Willa out of the water. I said it.

What to expect:
- boss x nanny
- grumpy rancher x sunshine
- ex-girlfriend’s twin brother
- close proximity
- butt stuff
- caretaking (he washes his hair)
- daddy kink

Dee's Grade: A+

Kismet has been my favorite Ashley James book for a long time. Then came Storm Clouds and Devastation to add to the list. Finn now ties with Kismet for the title. It's just something about this story that grabbed me immediately and made me fall in love. Finn is such a grumpy bear who is loving and protective. Ash is so flirty and fun. The two of them together are perfect. Throw in a sweet little boy and this book will own your heart.

Also the narration was perfect!
