Very, very interesting and unique take on the mythos. Incredibly close to 5-star material for me.
An excellent story based on the premise that Superman landed in the USSR rather than the USA.

The concept is interesting and the art is fine. The plot and characterisation? Yeesh. Diana my queen I'm so sorry its another elsewords story where you're in love with superman for no reason. The lois and lex stuff was,,,, Weird. Batman was shoehorned in of course. Don't even talk to me abt what they did to the green lantern corps.
Oh also superman as president/dictator? Dumb as fuck. Bad idea. Badly executed. Many levels of 'He would not fucking say/do that shit'.
The ending was a whole new level of bullshit. Mark Millar I am in your walls.

Pretty good Superman story. I haven't read any in-continuity Superman comics, but so far all the alternate universe stories I've read have Superman going bad (eg Injustice). Interesting pattern: is the ultimate symbol of good more interesting as a bad guy?
This comic was slightly different than I expected going in, but what a ride! The art is stunning, the relationships complex and certainly similar, yet so different, too. I enjoyed the nods to various Justice League characters (even if I hate Superman and Batman fighting). And the ending - whoa. Not at all what I was expecting but all the better and more thought-provoking for it.
This was much better than I thought it would be. I was afraid that Superman in Russia would be the same as Superman in the USA but I was surprised. This is a Superman completely devoted to communism and the state. Throughout the story, we see Superman gain power, sometimes on his own and sometimes involuntarily, but the rise and actions are great. On the opposite side of the world, Lex Luthor becomes the villain we know and love but one that's fighting for the American Dream. The final victory at the end is great and he's such a fun character to read in this book. Batman makes for some scene stealing cameos and his costume design in this is great. Wonder Woman and Hal Jordan get less spotlight but nevertheless shine in their moments. This is really Mark Millar at his best, in love with the source and reserved enough not to blow up the universe. The art is top notch and Superman looks great in his Soviet gear.
Glad I picked it up.

Me ha gustado mucho el planteamiento así como los diseños. El dibujo tiene una gran calidad a lo largo del cómic. No obstante el final no me ha convencido del todo.
An original and deeply satisfying alternate reality in which Superman grows up in the Soviet Union. The man of Steel becomes Stalin's tool and Batman is a dissident.
Muy buen libro, sin textos faciles, y con personajes complejos aunque breves. Me gusto bastante
