This was really good but it was a difficult reading experience at times because it hit so close to home

An incredible voice , one that really inspires you to think about your own life and relationships. Suzanne’s relationship with dellice and Clarence really warmed my heart. 🖤

After reading Beautiful Broken Things and One Christmas in Reading I was so ready for Suzanne's perspective. She is such a refreshing character. This book made me laugh, cry and want to tear Suzanne from the pages and wrap her in a fluffy blanket.
I think there was growth since the first book and Suzanne learned things about her PTSD and that she now can tell people that how they discuss her abuse and her recovery is not okay. I've never read a book like this. My only critic is that sometimes there was unnecessary drama but Sara Barnard is here to give you a candid take on friendship and it can be like that sometimes.

I’ve been saving this book for ‘just the right time’ feeling like I needed to be ready for it, and yeah it hurt me like BBT did, but I’m so happy the story got to continue like this. There are too few books about true recovery, and I feel seen even if Suzanne and I are as different as they come. Also Sara Barnard’s writing has gotten so good, at this point I’ll read anything she writes
