A dead preschool teacher and the only witnesses are her four year old students.

This book is weird. I took a chance on this one for sure. Some of the students reportedly had Renfield Syndrome. Read it and find out what that means  The mothers in this book were annoying. They reminded of how I imagine the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills or New Jersey.

In my opinion, initially the mothers were more concerned with appearances and gossip instead of what was going on with their children. I didn’t enjoy the woe is me and I’m a mother on top of it narrative. I understand that motherhood is a thankless job but these women were awful.

I didn’t enjoy the ending but I will say it was interesting to read about these preschoolers. The only reason this book wasn’t trashed is because January Lavoy was the narrator.

I'm just sitting here with the knowledge that one day Chandler Baker woke up and said "I'm gonna write a book about literal blood sucking kids."

I enjoyed my time with it, but I've started and finished so many books since I picked this up for the first time. Had a hard time keeping my attention. There are roughly A MILLION characters, so I had to make a character list in my phone. I was definitely shocked by the last chapter. I have a feeling this book will have a hard time finding its audience, but when it does, I think they'll love it.

What did I just read🤔 Alongside the murder mystery (which was twisty and I wanted to know what happened), kids from the daycare develop a syndrome that makes them want to drink blood? The casual mentions of how the parents accommodate this.. craving.. made it sound so normal and nbd when I was thinking "what did I just read"😅
