This book reads like a fantasy-flavored reimagining of Divergent. It's a fun read that feels predictable throughout. If you're looking for a romance novel and you like a fantasy setting, this might be a good option. If you're looking for enemies to lovers and LGBTQI+ representation - I would look elsewhere.

Predictable, immature, diversity only for the sake of diversity and mind-numbingly bad. Quick read though.

This book reads like 2010’s YA dystopian novels with sex scenes. I can understand why so many people, especially fans of ACOTAR love this book. I personally found the plot holes, dialogue style, and world building a bit lacking but for those who want more a vibes + romance book, this might be your read.
