I got a free copy of this book from the publisher via a Goodreads Giveaway. As a college professor, I've read a few books on this topic. Bruni's is one of the better ones, though toward the end it does start to feel a bit redundant (but maybe repetition is what is needed in order for people to get the message!).

Bruni does a great job explaining where our society's misplaced obsession with the Ivy League and other elite schools comes from, and then he hammers home that this obsession is harmful. One thing I would have liked to see more of his thoughts on, though, would be some concrete suggestions about how to overcome this obsession.
