One of the weakest in the series that I've read

If this wasn't Reacher, I would give it a 2. But it had a few good Reacher moments. Mostly just not very interesting.

Super meh and unmemorable. Struggled with the characters, particular Miss Nice. Some Jack Reachers are hit or miss!

Just a fan of Jack Reacher; gradually working my way through the series. In this story, Jack returns to the military to repay a favor by hunting down a man Reacher put in prison 15 years ago. Kott is suspected of taking shots at the President of France. Reacher travels to Paris and London with a female government analyst to get to the bottom of this international problem. As usual, there is so much more to the story than I initially thought.

I mostly enjoyed it, but the pacing seemed off. It seemed like there should have been a lot of plot left when the book ended. And the crux of bullets and bulletproof glass was bugging me long before Reacher figured it out.

All of the Jack Reacher books have gotten straight into it and gotten interesting so early on within the first few pages I’m hooked and can’t put the book down. Except for this one. This was boring, to the point that I didn’t want to pick it back up and keep reading.
And the way that he obsessed about Nice’s use of anxiety medication really rubbed me the wrong way. He really focused on her use of those pills and it made it almost seem like there was something wrong with her for needing them. Keeping track of how many she had left and asking if she took one. It was over the top and left me with a little bit of anger towards Lee Child

Not my favorite in this series…but still a good vacation read. Reacher travels to England to try and find a sniper who might be looking to disrupt the G-8, but along the way he must uncover everyone’s motives.
