I've always loved the English fairy tale Kate Crackernuts, because it follows the antics of an unconventional heroine who decides to put the welfare of her bff/step-sister before her own appearance of sanity and her cushy life as a princess (while also winning the prince in the end through some A+ eavesdropping).

Cat Wadell seemed like the perfect replacement for Kate Crackernuts. Both are weird, both don't mind keeping collections of nuts in their pockets, and both would go to the ends of the earth to help out their friends.

Book 2 in the Fair Folk series is a little spookier than the first, and we get introduced to the other court (the bad guys? the good guys?) who are rich in magic and cocky about it.

I absolutely loved writing this book, and hope everyone enjoys it too!
