This was a really good book partly because Holmes has a beautiful writing style. (And for people of a certain age, referencing “ When Harry Met Sally” and the Law & Order franchise within the first 16 pages was a hoot!)

Some readers may not like the ending but it worked with the book as a whole.

linda holmes is just such a refreshing writer.

Perfect travel read with a light mystery element. Overall enjoyed it but could’ve gone for a few more twists

I liked Linda Holmes' debut novel, but I had no real interest in picking this one up. When it was chosen for my book club, I gave it a shot, but I found absolutely nothing compelling about it. I thought the story and the characters were all largely forgettable, and I just kept thinking to myself, why did anyone feel the need to publish this? It wasn't a bad book, I just didn't think it was worth reading.
