Liked this better than Evvie Drake Starts Over.

lol this was more fun than I thought it was going to be I had a great time

I am delightfully surprised by this book and how much I enjoyed it.

It’s beautiful to read a story about independence and being loved and how there is no one way to achieve fulfillment. This warmed my heart and I extra enjoyed this.

More like 3.5 stars, for sure. Listened to this as an audiobook during a time when nausea prevented me from reading. Not so bad for a romance! The reader was likable, which makes such a difference. Overall, I much preferred it to Evvie Drake Starts Over, and that was a pleasant surprise. I also appreciated that the resolution is not super neat, or super predictable. It was just right for what I needed, when I needed it.

Quote- “Because you deserve to miss the hell out of somebody after four days and you deserve to have them miss you too”

Second chance romance when FMC Laurie Sassalyn needs to return back to her hometown after the death of her Great Aunt Dot.
Her high school / college boyfriend MMC Nick Cooper, still lives in town and owns the local library.  They spend time together sorting through boxes at her Aunt Dot’s home and a mini caper ensues after a bereavement consultant steals an “artifact” Laurie found buried in a chest.
As her and Nick spend more time together, they can’t deny the feelings they have for each other; however, Laurie’s need to believe relationships are all or nothing:  either being single or married could jeopardize their romance being rekindled.  Can she realize that you can live solo and in a relationship before it’s too late?

Random pick from the library. Not bad, just didn't stand out for me.

I loved the characters and the dialog. I loved the ending. But the whole story around the duck decoy? Just found it very mundane.

A perfectly fine, sweet, book about discovering who you are and what you want.

DNF at 116 pages. It just took too long to get to anything interesting.
