You simply cannot start off the Summer with anything other than the queen herself- @elinhilderbrand

The Five-Star weekend is more than just your “beach read”. Sure it’s fun, laugh out loud funny, filled with fun music and yummy food. But it also touches on grief, infidelity, death, friendship, strained relationships.

One day I’ll visit Nantucket, but until then, thank you Elin for giving me a preview! 🩵

The Five-Star Weekend gets 5⭐️ from me!

It was refreshing to read about older women. I think sometimes it’s the young who are portrayed as living the exciting lives, but to see the depth and incredible character development of these women and their desires, grievances, and secrets, shows that middle aged (or older) women have just as much right to be on the page!

I really enjoyed the plot, and the range of characters. I found the narrative telling of the story strange, though, and it took me awhile to adjust to it. So many random POVs… when I got to the *DOG’s* POV, I was like what are we *doing*? But overall, a fun summery read with some tragedy (just the way I like it, lol)
