This book is what I refer to as a cork popper. While the last book I read took me weeks to finish, this one was done in less than 24 hours. I have loved Lutz's writing since the Spellman files series, but this is different. Darker. Not funny at all. And so, so, so, good. What would you do if you were running from a past you couldn't go back to? How many different identities would you take? What would you do to stay free? It's a fantastic read. Highly recommend.

What a ride! It grabs you from page one and does not let you go.
When thinking about the plot later, you may see a few blips in the story, but, oh, my, you won't care a whit either before or after. A success from first to last word.

This gave me a bit of Gone Girl vibes. It's a suitable thriller to read on vacation.

Now THAT is what I call an ending!!!! I really enjoyed this book. There are holes in the plot, but still: an enjoyable read that I didn't figure out on my own. Recommend!

Don’t get me wrong, I enjoyed this book and it held my attention well, but it felt rather disjointed. Lots of different side stories and build up. I wish it would have been written where they give you little glimmers of the past throughout the book versus just waiting till the end to tell the whole back story.

I raced through this book. I liked the pace, the characters, the story, and only once did I yell, "No! No one would do that!" Which to me says a lot.
