I don’t know why but it took me a few chapters to get fully invested in this book. Having said that, once I reached that turning point around chapter 5 I was fully hooked and wanted to keep listening without any breaks. The storyline was really intriguing, spicy, and fun to listen to for the rest of the book. The narration by Lance West was great, and once again Lydia Michaels delivers characters with heavy backstories but that compliment each other so well and was BEYOND spicy!

Breaking Perfect
By: Lydia Michaels
Narrated by: Lance West

I was ready for a romance, but wow, this one is hot! Liberty and Mason are married. He a doctor, she an OCD wife, with a lot going on in her head. She has had a horrible childhood and as a result has an extreme need for structure. When Sean, Mason's old boyfriend, pops into her life, chaos takes flight. Mason is torn because of his feelings for Sean. Sean is attracted to Libby, and Libby is finally finding the freedom to let go. Will this trio find a balance? Talk about complex! We have Libby, who is like an onion. Layers upon layers and she never ceases to surprise me. Mason is a man who loves with his whole heart and always puts Libby first. Conflicts with his strong feelings for Sean. And Sean is a mess, but finds his balance with these two. It's steamy, it's passionate, it's relevant and has so many feelings, I was mesmerized. If you love complicated love, this one is for you!

Lance West brings it all to life with a very good narration. He has a soft voice, but brings out the alpha in both Mason and Sean with ease. He creates Libby with all of her compulsions, making her realistic and believable. It was a great performance.

This was all kinds of unexpected goodness. It was hot as heck but the story itself was so good.

Why is this not a bestseller? The writing is visceral and well-honed, the characters are multidimensional, and the plot unfolds as an emotional and mental discovery.

This sensual and character-driven menage features an OCD heroine and her unconventional path to recovery. The male protags are devastatingly desirable. If the sexy scenes don't soak your panties, you might not have a functioning libido. It's erotic, but so much more than a thrust-and-grind story. The manner and depth in which the heroine's mental health is shown is a perfect juxtaposition. She self-medicates to ease those she loves while they are selfless in their attempts to heal her.

Mason and Sean balance each other out, between heart-in-throat sensitivity and DIY rough handling, and the fact that their methods quiver on the right side of authenticity ranks it as a brilliant success.

Incredibly steamy MMF erotica with a good story and fleshed out characters

With the two male MC’s being last lovers I was a little worried about jealousy or angst between FMC and her husband’s ex-lover. But from the start it was clear they had such a loving relationship and Mason understood Liberty’s needs and caring for her was his top priority.

Sean fit seamlessly with Mason and Liberty and when the three of them got together the steam level was off the charts. Actually, the steam level was already off the charts before he entered the equation and just continued throughout the story. Each scene was detailed and uniquely done so it wasn’t just a continuous “he/she put this/that there”

Both MMC’s are alphas in bed but are kind and caring outside of the bedroom. FMC has OCD and relinquishing control in the bedroom gives her relief from her compulsions. There is some light BDSM play with bondage and spanking.

This book was not what I expected and I mean that in the best way. I was hooked on page one and couldn’t put it down. I did the ebook and audio and both were great. If you’re interested in reading a poly romance, pick this one up!
