Loved it! Sooo many twists and I even enjoyed the romantic sub-plots can't wait to read the next in the series!

the character is 25, but the narrator sounds like she is in her 40s which throws the story off. Like the twist and many of the characters. It is an interesting little town, full of mystery. pun intended.

Better than most of its kind

I actually downloaded this to see if a friend might like it, and ended up reading the whole book. It's not my usual taste, but if you enjoy reading about witches and their familiars and, especially, very unusual libraries, you will enjoy it. The author writes well and it obviously isn't one of those books dashed off in ten days because a publisher sees a potential market.

I went into this without knowing very much about it and enjoyed it. It does start with a murder but the story is mostly lighthearted, small town drama. There was a lot going on and I had a hard time keeping track of things sometimes. I listened to the audio and maybe reading it would have made that easier.
If you’re looking for a quick mystery with a touch of magic, I recommend this book.

It was a nice, cozy mystery. Really enjoyed the characters and setting and the mystery unfolds nicely. A great start to a series, definitely looking forward to reading the rest.

Pleasantly suprised by how much I enjoyed this cozy low fantasy book. I enjoyed the writing and modern setting of this book. I, particularly, enjoyed the conversation around the realistic applications of what a library does and usefulness of a library! This is a part of a series so I will most likely check it out!
