I think this book should actually be called “a lot of thoughts about resisting the attention economy.” it is probably a more effective read than a listen – – I wasn’t very fond of the reader and I think she rushed the pace a bit, so there was a lot of information coming at me all the time. It
certainly is not a “how to” book in the least!

Non-fiction takes me forever to read, but I was glad I spent the time with this book. Wonderful and inspiring thesis about resisting the attention economy and instead devoting our time, energy, and attention the places in which we exist.

more a work of reflective art than a how-to. this gorgeously written and languid piece succeeds at making this movement tangible and necessary for all where its counterparts (cal newport) fail.
