The writers for this series definitely do not have a checklist. Every book brings new, exciting storylines and informative police investigative applications. The personal storylines of the main characters are worthy of novels themselves. Add that to the mystery and the formula is better than any other series I’ve read in this genre.

Loved it! I feel like Clare and the village blend really exist. Such fun books!

This is a series that keeps getting better, now that the characters have basically resolved themselves into their comfortable groups. Although Coyle gives a lot of insight into the characters and how they interact and where their lives are going, she never loses sight of the mystery at hand, which tends to happen once a series progresses to a certain point. And the addition of the recipes never feels forced into the story, either.

It was a good read. I liked seeing Mike unleashed. It was a little slow to get going but I enjoyed the book. I took a break from the series and now I’m trying to finish it before the new one comes out in April. On to Holiday Buzz
