I gave Full Dark, No Stars a 4 out of 5. This book contains four new short stories by Stephen King. Each story gave the reader a lot to think about regarding human nature. King has always had a way of getting me to understand the dark side of human behavior. Entertaining as well as thought-provoking.
An almost perfect anthology of twisted tales all about the how people cope in the most dire of circumstances. Extremely bleak stuff but if you have the stomach for it you'll find yourself lost in them for hours.

My thoughts on each story:
1922
Not bad, about a man who kills his wife because she wants to sell their farmland and move to the city. Gets his son involved and it just goes downhill from there for the two men. Not bad story, but i think it dragged on a little too long. It's the longest novella in the book. I liked the story, but i was expecting more of a ghost story then what was given.
BIG DRIVER
A real good story. Involves a female author (Tess) who is tricked into going down a road and is raped and almost killed by a very big guy. She survives and slowly plots her revenge, while somewhat going crazy at the same time (she talks to herself but as different things such as her GPS device and her cat). I really liked the character of Tess and tho the rape stuff is bad obviously her revenge stuff was an interesting read.
FAIR EXTENSION
A man (Streeter) is dying of cancer and stumbles upon a man who sells "extensions". Similar to a bargain with the devil except instead of his soul he has to give the man soemone else to take on Streeter's bad luck. This story kind of seems twisted in what happens to the man Streeter chooses. Interesting story and it did have me laugh a few times.
A GOOD MARRIAGE
Interesting story about a woman who finds out something horrific about the man she's been married too for 27 years and what she does to cope with it and eventually what she does about it. I liked it, was a very interesting story and was a good "what if this happened to someone in real life" kind of story too.

Loved this book! Stephen King explores heavy topics in each short story with some more gruesome than others. I loved that he took inspiration for these stories from real-life events. It is clear that King isn't afraid to write on topics that other authors would stray away from, which made the stories feel even more realistic and captivating. My favourite of them has to be Big Driver. Usually I'm good at predicting what happens next in horror stories, but this was filled with plot twists and truly had me on the edge of my seat.
