Set in Gotham City and narrated by Harleen Quinzel; after waking up in a hospital, Harleen tries to regain her memory.
A lot of the action takes place at Arkham Asylum.

in this second volume she is in college and an intern in Arkham Asylum, trying really hard to play nice and keep her scholarship but she realizes girls are in danger once more and not just them. there is something more still related to the first case that continues to threaten them. I love the appearances of other famous characters and how the author makes it very exciting to read, we keep turning the pages for more. one very feminist series, of girls protecting each other and getting justice.

My beloved Harley Quinn is back and I couldn't be more excited! I adored ever last second of this book! Harley is becoming more and more of who we know her as in this book and I love it.
This book also had a ton more familiar faces. A lot of them were just cameos but several had a lot to do with the plot and it was great to see Allen take on those beloved characters.
I especially loved the appearance of Pamela. I was so excited to see her in this book and see how she played a role.
Allen definitely took some liberties with the story of Harley but I didn't mind a single change. Allen made it clear just how much she loves and understands the character of Harley in her first book and this one just furthered that and allowed her to give the beloved character even more depth.

Thank you to NetGalley and DC for the eGalley to review!
I was so excited to see a Harley Quinn novel that I didn't notice that this was a sequel when I requested my review copy--oops! But it turns out I didn't need to read the first one to understand what was going on in this one, because everything important or relative that happened then is mentioned for our convenience. That was a relief.
I really enjoyed it too! Though I couldn't help but feel as though the two sections of the book felt a little wonky in their order. I felt like having Harley remember things as she's going through the process of getting her memories back would have been better than presenting all of her (incomplete) memories first and then revealing that she doesn't recall anything. It didn't ruin my enjoyment of the book, but the structure did make it feel a bit stilted when I came to part two.
I'm really happy about the inclusion of Harlivy (Harley x Ivy) and it was really neat seeing how all these classic comic book characters are introduced and put through new origin stories and scenarios. It's really fun and I'm excited to see how it concludes in the next book. Also, it was cool learning some things about psychology.
(Also I adore King Shark with every iota of my being.)

Allen's definitely leaning more into known Batman lore with this book, but I continue to love this version of Harley's origin story. She's such a fascinating and complex character.

It was a slow book for me but I enjoyed it. Harley Quinn is my favorite DC character besides the other villains and Batman.
Harley Quinn: Ravenous changes the scene of Harley Quinn’s love interest (compared to the movie and comic book versions we know) along with her chemical accident .
Otherwise, it was a good version of a Harley Quinn book.
