A thoughtful and emotional story of true love, family, generational curses, and learning to open your heart, despite the risk of having it broken. The art of this graphic novel is striking and bold, and the colors rich and meaningful. I loved seeing the interweaving of Chinese, Vietnamese, and Korean cultures, as well as the difficulty that arises in staying connected to those cultures as Americans.
