This one has been sitting on my shelf a while (along with a "few" other photography books ;) ) and I finally got around to it. It is meant mostly for a beginner/ mom photographer, maybe even someone who uses her phone but wants to learn more about thinking creatively and taking better photos. For me, there is a certain nostalgia to it; I followed The Shutter Sisters when my daughter was younger and I was just starting out with my camera. I loved that blog, and this is mostly along the lines of the blog. I have also taken one of Tracey's classes and I really enjoyed her thought process, enthusiasm and interaction with the community.

This is a thoroughly enjoyable book that is meant mostly for the amateur. It is really about bringing light, detail and even documentation to your everyday photography. This isn't technically perfect photography that is sharp and National Geographic worthy. It's really the opposite. There's a lot of good stuff here for someone who just wants to document their children growing up, their friendships or just a simple walk in the woods. It's a series of blog posts from the Shutter Sisters who, sadly, are no longer blogging. It's inexpensive on Amazon if you buy it used and is worth buying.
