Entirely predictable after 3 chapters. No stakes whatsoever because everything is telegraphed. Plot is unfocused and writing approaches quality of fan fiction that couldn't find a beta reader. Will-they-won't-they between the Gary Stu & "mysterious" love interest have no chemistry or development, they're just in love. Cutting 2/3 of the book might bring it to 3 stars.
