Quick Summary: A second time around, love is found romance

My Review: My Lucky #13 by Piper Rayne is part 1 of the Hockey Hotties series.

About the Book: An unbeliever in luck finds his lady love through a pre-game ritual. Will he throw away his chance at happiness for the sake of the game?

My Final Say: Book one was a great kickoff to this series. It was a super quick read that introduced the Hockey Hotties team members. The final declaration that was professed scored points in a big way.

3.5 stars…good, not great! There was so much messiness in this relationship, especially
since Aiden thought that Saige was dating his agent for over half of the book. I understood her reasoning for not telling him, but it’s still felt messy, and when he broke up with her just because his boss told him, she was ruining his game, even though his teammate was in the same situation and didn’t break up with his girlfriend, the fact that Saige gave him right away I was not a fan of.

This is one of those books that I didn't dislike it but there was nothing that I loved, nothing really remarkable that stood out to me. The main duo was likeable, there supporting characters were flushed out. Nothing fell flat. It was a nice lighthearted read.

Too predictable and I hate the MC

It was good, it just felt very rushed.
