📍”She couldn’t be more perfect for me if a mad scientist made her specifically for me.”
I saw this copy (signed!!!!!) over on PangoBooks and I knew it had to be mine. Like Aiden, I saw something I wanted and went for it 😜
Not only is this edition drop ☠️ gorgeous, Saige & Aiden’s story is also fantastic. The boy obsessed meets the girl who was hurt and a friendship of sorts — or should I say, of superstitions — is born. Only they can’t ever be just friends, can they?
It’s the little things for me. Them exploring the cities. Them opening up about their past hurt. The chemistry also jumped off the page so that’s that 🥵
Piper Rayne makes loving sports romance easy 🩵
I know I should probably be reading football romance instead of hockey to stay on theme with the NFL playoffs (who do you have?) but there’s just something about these hockey romances 🤌🏼🤌🏼🤌🏼🤌🏼

This was a totally fine, middle of the road read for me. If you’re looking for a quick read that’s kind of a filler and you happen to like hockey romances, this isn’t a bad option. I will say for such a short book the spice happened later than I expected, but that didn’t bother me and I think actually helped the story. I listened to this on audio and the male narrator’s voice was not my cup of tea and at times distracted me, but that could just be personal preference. 3⭐️

Lovely sports romance
I have a weak spot for sports (and especially hockey) romances when I’m feeling like I’m in a slump, and this one hit the spot. It was well written and I really liked the characters.

This book was so cute! I love finding new hockey romance faves and I can't wait to read the rest of the series. Watching Aiden and Saige's relationship build was great. It was cute how they started as friends and tried not to have feelings for each other. The hockey aspect was great and I really liked seeing glimpses of the other players. Saige and Tedi's friendship was also great. This book lost it a little for me with the breakup. It wasn't actually a breakup and should have just been more of a conversation. It made me mad that they separated for like two seconds and it just felt highly unnecessary. Other than that I thought this was super cute, and I really liked Aiden and Saige together.
3.5/5 - This was a cute, swoony romance between Saige and Aiden. I loved the premise - the girl who rejected you is your good luck charm and has to throw wine in your face before every game. I enjoyed the development of a friendship and then into more. These two were good together.
