Aiden has always considered himself lucky when it came to his hockey career. Unlike the rest of his teammates he didn't believe in superstitions. Until he was able to break out of his nine game slump. He is convinced it was Saige throwing a glass of white wine in his face that broke the slump. So he made a deal with her that she will thrown a glass of white wine in his face before every game - even away games - in exchange he will become one of her new clients for her social media management company.

I loved Aiden and Saige so much. I loved that their story had them growing a solid foundation as friends first before they started heating up the sheets. It was a joy to actually see their relationship grow and developed. And the banter between the two and the teammates was top notch. Another fantastic book from this writing duo. I super excited to see where this new series goes.

I am beginning to feel that Piper Rayne cannot write a bad book. There isn't a single story by them that didn't made me feel all the feels. And then they come along with this sports romance brilliance! My Lucky #13 is sexy, sweet, and full of laughs. I loved it. Piper Rayne have this witty, smart and honest way of telling stories that win my heart every single time.

I was really hooked into this slow-burn romance. Aiden and Saige’s story is a fun, charming, and addictively captivating read that had me swooning every step of their journey. I loved the dynamic between these two likable characters and enjoyed all the laughs they brought me, as well as the emotionally charged moments.

Delightfully funny and entertaining as heck...this was a fantastic start to this new series and I simply can't wait to see what is in store for Maksim and Ford.

I was so excited for a new series from this amazing duo! And it's sports romance (aka hockey) no less! You know it's going to be good.

Aiden and Saige's story has a different story plot than other sports romances. And I loved that. I loved that they start as strangers, then friends. Saige is helping Aiden overcome his slump. Then without them realising it, they develop feelings for each other. I loved that they didn't just go into a relationship just because they are in close proximity with each other. They actually fight it off so hard. It was kind of a slow burn, but it felt so exhilarating and so worth it.

I can't wait for Maksim's story next!

If there was one sport I would enjoy watching frequently, it would be hockey. Do I understand all the nuances and maneuvers? Nope. But let's face it, the fights that happen on the ice are the most entertaining part! To be honest, my knowledge of hockey comes from reading romance novels that feature hockey teams. Aiden Drake doesn't believe in superstitions like most pro athletes. But when a coincidental drink to his face before a game that ended his awful playing streak, he began to think there was more to superstitions that met the eye. Too bad the drink thrower, Saige, was dating his agent. She was totally hands off. Wanting to prove a point, he coerces Saige into throwing a glass of white wine at him before the next game. Once he realizes that maybe there is something to being superstitious, he convinces Saige to throw a glass at him before EVERY game. He tries to deny his attraction to Saige because his agent got him to where he is, but once he realizes just how much Saige is meant for him, he stops at nothing to get his HEA with her. Bonus...she can't fight her feelings either. These two characters had wicked chemistry that went beyond what happens between the sheets. The authors created wonderfully realistic characters and put together a storyline that melded sports and romance so well. I can't wait to see what happens next in this series!

I received an advance copy of this book at my request and voluntarily left this review.

My Lucky #13 by Piper Rayne was the perfect hockey, slow burn romance that I didn't know I needed. Aiden and Saige's relationship created a sense of longing for what really counts and matters in life. This was a great book to kick off the Hockey Hotties Series!

Saige is a woman on a mission to prove herself and make it with her own social media management business. Saige met Aiden at a party in a prequel novella where these two had an instant connection, including the infamous "throwing of wine" in the face, but their timing was off. Aiden is trying to get out of a hockey slump and is determined to stay with the Florida Fury. To do that, he needs his lucky pregame ritual to ensure he plays his best, which is where Saige and wine are involved. These two reconnect and slowly find their way to each other. When Saige gives into her desire, their chemistry is ice hot!

Overall, I really enjoyed this book. Piper Rayne can deliver a great story, with charismatic characters, in an amazing atmosphere. I am looking forward to more stories for all of the hunky hockey men on the Florida Fury in the Hockey Hotties Series!
