I acc have more to say tho. First, Annabeth is a fucking QUEEN, and she’s my woman!! I’m in love. Her and Percy’s relationship is unmatched <3 they have my whole heart. Second, even after reading this for the second time I still can’t believe how people that read this before house of hades came out survived. THE ENDING IS INSANE I LOVE IT. But I would’ve gone insane if I didn’t have the next book available and ready to read right after lol.
I also adored Leo in this book, he had so many great moments im in love. Seeing all the seven coming together as the plot developed was so beautiful too. My boy Nico deserved better tho. So excited to continue my reading <3

1/3 was good, last 1/3 was great, middle 1/3 dragged quite a lot. I feel like this book could have been a lot thinner. Still don't feel like Jason has a personality. Annabeth gets better all the time.

The Mark of Athena was an extremely well written book. It took me forever to get my hands on it, but it got me so sucked in I was reading it walking everywhere. The characters became a lot more developed, especially Annabeth and Hazel. I think Frank's character could have been worked on a little more though, and Coach Hedge seems like he could have been amazing if he wasn't so static. It builds suspense and holds it and just when you think everything is going well, he throws the heroes into hell, literally. It is an absolutely amazing book, and I can't wait to finish the series!
