This was definitely the slowest book in the series. I never got bored, but I took much more breaks during this read compared to the other books.

Also, I still stand by the fact that I hate the wording of the split state of the gods being referred to as "schizophrenic."

Slightly annoyed they kept referring to the split states of the gods as "schizophrenic."

I loved this book and it had a really suprising twist in the end. I can't wait for the next book The Heros of Hades to come out next fall. I dont know if I can wait that long but I have plenty of other books to read that will keep me busy until then.

OH M GEE!!!! I LOVED this book! Just like any other Riordan book, I was sucked in from start to finish! Once again I find myself chewing off my fingernails and laughing out loud at the silly things these demigods get themselves into! My love for Percy and the gang grows stronger with each story. And this ending...GAH! I need the next book now!!
The only complaint I have about this book was all the characters. It was great when there was only three points of view to follow, but four seemed just too much for me. When I first got this book from the library I found a set of notes on all the characters in it and thought "huh, why would someone take notes?" but after a while I wanted to look back at them too. I guess seven characters are a little hard to keep a running track of for me. But once you get the flow of the narration, its smooth sailing!
adventurous fast-paced

it took me awhile to finish this because some parts were boring as heck… but the last 30% was actually really good LMAO
