I finally finished this one! I don't have a lot to say on it as it's in the middle of the series, but I did really enjoy it.

It was nice to see more of Annabeth and her deeper thoughts into her life and the situations she was in in the book and how she handled them so well. Also, I felt Percy and Annabeth's relationship really developed and strengthened in this book. I also enjoyed the coming together of the seven demigods from the two camps. Whilst it was rocky to begin with and there were some bumps, by the end they really understand each other and realised that they needed to support and help each other through the tough times, as there will be many more tough times to come. It was sweet to see all there personalities get along, and sometimes clash, as it showed their strength as demigods.

The plot was good! There was never really a dull moment as the action and problems just kept on coming, but they dealt with them as a team and got through them.

I'm excited to see where the next two books take us and what happens to all the characters.

“Percy, let me go,” she croaked. “You can’t pull me up.”
His face was white with effort. She could see in his eyes that he knew it was hopeless.

“Never,” he said. He looked up at Nico, fifteen feet above. “The other side, Nico! We’ll see you there. Understand?”
Nico’s eyes widened. “But—”
“Lead them there!” Percy shouted. “Promise me!”
“I—I will.”
Below them, the voice laughed in the darkness. Sacrifices. Beautiful
sacrifices to wake the goddess.

I love the Heroes of Olympus series! This book is the perfect third book. I thought that Rick’s decision to truly unite the group at the end of the book was a great decision. I definitely needed to see the conflict between the characters and how Percy’s trio combined with Jason’s trio. This book had the perfect beginning (#Percabeth) and the perfect ending (#Percabeth).

No seriously… THAT ENDING GAVE ME GOOSEBUMPS. And again, I really love that my love, Percy, is the exception to death. Nico put it perfectly in the last chapter, “Percy is the most powerful demigod I’ve ever met. No offense to you guys, but it’s true. If anybody can survive, he will, especially if he’s got Annabeth at his side. They’re going to find a way through Tartarus.”

I’m so excited but also really sad to be getting to this last stretch of the series. This was the series that got me to fall in love with reading!

4,5

Didn't loved it as much as the son of neptune, and the sort-of-love triangle didn't work for me (eventhough i didin't really saw it as a love triangle)

Anabeth was top tier in this book she's so brave and so fkn smart, she amazes me, and percabeth was also beautifull its like ajshajjasjjhahasjakj (i love this kids so much)

The cliffhanger was ilegal (acting like i didn't get spoiled a milion times through tik tok and pinterest fanarts)

THAT CLIFFHANGER THOUGH (literally, a cliffhanger). The second half makes up for a slow beginning (too much time spent with the characters learning stuff about each other we already spent 2 whole books covering), though it is fun seeing the full group of seven come together and the quest properly begin. Very much anticipating that the fourth installment will be even crazier (woe is Percy and Annabeth).
